About Us
Roundwood was recently awarded Silver CAPS accreditation. There are only two clubs in Surrey that have currently achieved the Silver status, and Roundwood is proud to be one of them. We provide a high level of commitment to development and good, safe practice. All players, coaches and umpires of Roundwood are offered a clear development pathway by the club's high profile and publicity. We all take great pride in the work that goes into the club and are proud of the club that we have today.
All of our coaches are very experienced in working with young people. Our coaches have attended various courses including, England Netball Duty of Care, Qauity in your Coaching and A Club for All. We have two qualified level 2 coaches, one level 1 coach and two assistant coaches who form part of our coaching team. We also have qualified first aiders at all coaching sessions.
Training Matches Fees Affiliation Kit General Info
Roundwood Netball Club train on Thursday evenings at Croydon High School, Old Farleigh Road, Selsdon, South Croydon, CR2 8YB - Click here for map
Juniors age 8+ - The juniors section train all year round (apart from 2 weeks off for christmas) at Croydon High School. Training is between 6.00 - 7.00pm in the sports hall in the winter and on the courts outside during the summer.
Development Squad - The development squad train all year round (apart from 2 weeks off for christmas) at Croydon High School. Training is between 7.00 - 8.00pm in the sports hall in the winter and on the courts outside during the summer.
Adults - The adults section train between August and May and play in a summer league starting beginning of June for 8 weeks. Training is between 8.00 - 9.30pm in the sports hall at Croydon High School.

Junior matches are played once a month mostly on a training night. Please see the fixtures page for dates, times and venues
The development squad play in matches against other clubs once a month and against the C Team once a month also. Please see fixtures page for dates, times and venues
Adult matches are played on Saturdays, mainly at Shirley High School, Shirley Church Road, Croydon, Surrey, CR0 5EF - click here for map. A few matches are played at various other venues, mostly within the local area but some are a little further afield. Please see fixtures page for dates, times and venues

We do ask that it is compulsory for players in the adult section to pay their fees by standing order. Many of our juniors pay their fees in cash weekly, however, we do prefer payment by standing order as this does make it easier for our treasurers, and there is a reduction in the juniors price for this option. If you have any queries regarding standing orders or need to discuss fees, please speak to Tara.
We do occasionally get asked what the monthly fees cover. Many depend on ages groups, but for a general idea, it covers the following: training venue, court hire for matches, umpires, coaches, refreshments, equipment (balls, first aid kits, training equipment etc), entry into the various leagues, rallies, phone costs for captains, stamps, envelopes, photocopying etc. Some of these costs are things that you may not have thought of, but they all build up and someone has to pay for them.
All players joining Roundwood must affiliate to the All England Netball Association, which costs £28 per year for adults and £20.50 per year for juniors. All new members need to pay this as sooon as you join Roundwood. Existing members on direct debit will have this cost covered by their August payment. Junior affiliation needs to be paid separately at the beginning of each year, and you will be notified of this when it is due for renewal. AFFILIATION IS COMPULSORY
Our team kit consists of a purple netball skirt, white polo shirt and a grey hooded jumpe (both with the roundwood logo). Kit is an additional cost to the monthly fees and can be purchased through Ray Andrews. For full details on kit, please go to the kit ordering page
